Jerrisa Ching, DVM, MPH
Dr. Jerrisa Ching was born and raised in O’ahu, Hawaii where she grew up with many dogs, guinea pigs, chinchillas, turtles, and chickens. She developed a passion for veterinary medicine after completing a high school senior project in animal-assisted therapy.
After Dr. Ching completed her Doctor in Veterinary Medicine degree at Washington State University and her online Master of Public Health degree at the University of Missouri – Columbia in 2021, she moved back to O’ahu to work at another small animal general practice and joined Hale Ola Pet Hospital in December 2022. Dr. Ching’s interests include preventive care, infectious diseases (especially parasitology), internal medicine, and oncology.
Outside of work, Dr. Ching enjoys yoga, barre, drinking tea, writing, spending time with her fiance, and cuddling with her two guinea pigs, Maxime and Daisy.
Dr. Ching’s goal is to provide the best veterinary care for animals in O’ahu with meaningful conversations and resources. She looks forward to meeting you, your pets, and ‘ohana.
